About Our Courses

Our courses are very hands-on because we believe people learn best from practicing. Therefore, although you will learn a lot of useful theory, you will also have the chance to try your hand at the actual practical skills of living sustainably. There is a big emphasis on peer-learning and cooperation because everyone has something to share with others!

Much of your learning at our farm will be based on real life projects such as construction of compost heaps and garden beds, as well as practicing your new design skills working in small groups with your fellow participants. This gives you lots of opportunity to explore the various aspects of permaculture and discover the areas that are of most interesting to you.

We also place a big emphasis on community at our farm and encourage students to work as a group not just within the context of the course but in daily life at the farm: cooking together, making decisions about learning goals and collaborating to complete projects to a higher standard than any one individual could manage alone.

We want you to leave our farm knowing what Permaculture actually looks and feels like, both on the land and within our communities! If this sounds like an experience you would enjoy, read more about our upcoming events and courses bellow. We are having permaculture course everymonth at Sahainan Project, at Thung Chang, Nan.
