New Land Project

The New land Project is a reforestation sustainability project inspired by Thai ecological farming practices. Our goal is to turn the area from degraded farmland into sustainable food forest, increasing the native biodiversity and to live as simply and sustainably as possible. Our hope is that through opening our project to volunteers we will not only gain much needed assistance, but will inspire others in their journey towards the beauty of simple living.

The New Land is a sister project to Tacomepai Organic Farm, a Permaculture Education Centre and Homestay located in Pai, North Thailand, which has been running for the past 7 years by a local thai family. The New Land Project has developed as a collaborative venture from the owner of Tacomepai, and various volunteers who have shared a similar vision for the future.

From generous donations, land was bought 3km away, in a deforested area that is used for monoculture farming and is subsequently suffering from erosion and soil degradation.
